
Meet Bo
Bo Mitchell represents the people of District 50 in the Tennessee House of Representatives. He began serving the citizens of Bellevue, Charlotte Park, Goodlettsville, Joelton, Whites Creek, Scottsboro, and the rest of western Davidson County following his election in 2012. He is a leading voice for strong public schools, affordable healthcare, gun safety, and common sense leadership.
Bo is a 1988 graduate of Dickson County Senior High School and after college began his career working for State Senator Pete Springer in Dickson, Hickman, Decatur, Perry, Humphreys and Benton counties—all within the Seventh Congressional District. Mitchell then became the Government and Military Affairs Director of the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce before becoming part of Gov. Bredesen’s staff.
Prior to his election, Bo established a lengthy record of deep involvement in the community. He also owns a small business that assists other businesses in providing benefits to their employees.
Bo and his wife Chastity, along with their sons Parker (19) and Brady (17), live in Bellevue. Bo graduated from David Lipscomb University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He earned his law degree from Nashville School of Law in 2003.
Bo is a native of middle Tennessee and a member of the Bellevue Harpeth Chamber of Commerce, Goodlettsville Chamber of Commerce, Harpeth River Watershed Association, Bellevue Family YMCA & FiftyForward J.L. Turner Center, Tennessee Conservation Voters, and Tennessee Farm Bureau.
